Al-Rayan for Social Development organization implemented training for veterinary schools in the project areas. The training covered methods of breed improvement through the introduction of new animal strains, training on animal vaccination against common diseases, as well as training in the production of animal products such as cheese. Veterinary kits and medicines were also distributed to support veterinary services and enhance livestock health, contributing to improved livestock productivity and increased income for local communities.
The positive impacts of this activity included the beneficiaries acquiring the necessary knowledge on how to vaccinate sick animals and isolate them from healthy ones, as well as how to properly dispense veterinary medicines. All of this had a tangible positive effect on livestock health, which in turn reflected on improved animal production and increased income for beneficiary households, while also contributing to raising health and veterinary awareness among local communities.
