Project Name: Emergency Nutrition in North Darfur Description: The project aims to address acute and severe malnutrition among children under five years of age and pregnant and lactating women in North Darfur State, through the distribution of specialized nutritious foods, implementation of awareness activities, and continuous field monitoring to ensure improved nutritional status among the most vulnerable groups. Donors: 1.World Food Programme (WFP) – USD 372,248 2.German Agency for Agricultural Work (WHH) – USD 41,940 Total Budget: USD 414,188 -State of Implementation: North Darfur State -Targeted Localities: Kabkabiya, Sarf Omra, Al-Sareif, Al-Teenah -Target Group: Children under five years of age, pregnant and lactating women – 25,864 individuals #Achievements: -Distribution of 232.78 metric tons of specialized nutritious food. -Implementation of awareness campaigns and community mobilization. -Field monitoring and supervision of nutrition programs. -Coordination with the Ministry of Health, WHH, and Sahari Organization. #Activities Implemented: -Distribution of therapeutic and preventive food. -Awareness sessions on breastfeeding and preparation of balanced meals. -Monitoring and follow-up of malnutrition cases. -Participation in joint assessments and trainings.
